"LES BOIT SANS SOIF"

The Vintage Cyclo Rando par excellence !!!

Acclaimed by all those who did participate in 2019 and 2020 !!

60 km of effort (a few beautiful hills to swallow ...) which are largely rewarded with each mile traveled by the landscapes encountered (shores of the river Saône, vineyards, ...), villages crossed with crazy charm (Brancion if only one should be mentioned) and the good-naturedness of the Burgundians (here we roll the rrrrrr !!!).

The first part of the route along the "Voie Bleue", up to the Uchizy bridge, will allow you to warm up slowly but surely, and to get to know your fellow travelers.

After a short tasting break, you will have to tackle the piece of bravery of this crazy day: the climb to the villages of winegrowers, Chardonnay where the grape of the same name originates, then Lugny, where a beautiful 2 km hill awaits you with an average slope of 6% !!!

The lunch break (meal taken from the bag) will take place in a setting that could not be more bucolic, in the shade of a century-old oak tree (ideal for a nap, welcome after 25 km of effort).

The afternoon will allow you to discover the charming village of Brancion, an exceptional medieval site, built on a rocky outcrop overlooking the Grosne valley and offering a breathtaking view from its church, inside which you can greet the recumbent figure of Lord Josserand IV Gros de Brancion, who died in the Crusades in 1250.

After this historic break, it will be time to get on your faithful steed for the last part of your vintage cycle tour towards Tournus.

At the very end of the journey, you will be greeted like Popes by the Vignerons de Mancey for a tasting session of their best wines.

And on arrival, you will have the immense satisfaction of having come full circle, and joined the brotherhood of "Les Boit sans Soif".

While waiting for the lucky draw (reserved for participants of the "Boit sans Soif" only), you will be able to enjoy a good craft beer from our partner, the 2 Dudes brewery in Tournus.

Please note : approximatively 1 mile unpaved on this course, so please adapt your mount (30 mm tires or tubulars ie Eroica Challenge).

All the participants will receive a few days before the D day an e-mail specifying by the menu the course of the day, and including the roadmap as well as the gpx track (to be loaded on your gps or smartphone).

So ... let yourself be tempted !!

"LES VENTRES JAUNES"

The great novelty of this 2021 edition !!!

On the left bank of the river Saône, there is a hostile region called ... Bresse.

Its inhabitants are nicknamed "Les Ventres Jaunes", for an unavoidable reason that you will discover on the occasion of this crazy day, full of surprises and twists and turns.

Joking aside, this ride in Vintage mode will take place over a 60 km route without major difficulties.

Even if it is less hilly than its cousin, Bresse is far from being flat, and it hides some jewels worthy of interest, including its famous half-timbered farms topped with Sarasin chimneys, but also beautiful water mills on the banks of the river Seille.

In the same spirit as its big brother "Les Boit sans Soif", this rally of "Les Ventres Jaunes" will also be the occasion to taste some drinks made from grape juice and other sweets ...

On the way back, you will make it a point to visit the Vignerons de Mancey , for an unmissable and welcome tasting session after having traveled 60 km on your old jaw harp !!

And like the day before, a craft beer will be waiting for you to toast with your companions in misfortune and celebrate your induction into the Brotherhood of the "Les Ventres Jaunes" !!!

At the end of this epic weekend, the lucky draw will designate the lucky winners of the prizes offered by the Organization and its friendly partners .

All the participants will receive a few days before the big day an e-mail specifying by the menu the course of the day, and including the roadmap as well as the gpx track (to be loaded on your gps or smartphone).
